About Me

My name is Jillian Rowe.

I have been a software engineer in the bioinformatics space for nearly 10 years. I am especially interested in the deployment strategies relating to machine learning and data science, mostly because deployment is an evil that must be conquered! I truly believe that you do not need to be a software engineer to solve interesting problems, even when those problems involve code and configuration files. 

When I am not working I am usually hanging out with my family, preferably at the beach.

When I can’t be at the beach I am normally reading, drawing, walking, baking or painting with my kids, or building LEGOs that I will sometimes share.

Most of my professional life is run by github. I am also occasionally over at and Twitter and LinkedIn.
